Regional Coalition: Resilient Northeast Georgia
Mission & Broad Goals
The Resilient Northeast Georgia (RNEGA) fund, administered by the Athens Area Community Foundation, prioritizes a trauma-informed behavioral health continuum of care, in partnership with each of the Georgia Family Connection collaboratives in their 12-county service region. RNEGA ensures stewardship and success through its cross-sector partnerships, uniting regional resources and initiatives to create a stronger and more adaptive behavioral health system of care through the development of trauma-informed community infrastructure.
The Resilient Northeast Georgia coalition aims include:

Cultivating a better understanding of the impacts of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to create a common language and align regional efforts

Adapting Resilient Georgia’s training roadmap to reflect the needs of the region and provide partners with a blueprint for programs

Working with service providers and county-level partners to identify and deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed programs to prevent ACEs in the birth-26 cohort
