Kim Clifton

Kim has dedicated 30 years to the nonprofit sector, serving in various leadership roles across Washington state, Boston, Guatemala, and Charleston, SC. She is currently the Executive Director of the Coastal Georgia Indicators Coalition. Previously, Kim led HALOS, a South Carolina nonprofit, for over 17 years, where she launched the state’s first kinship care program, providing vital resources and support to children raised by grandparents and relatives. The program became a statewide model. Following this success, she consulted with the SC Department of Social Services to expand kinship services through partnerships with local nonprofits.
Kim holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on Community Organizing, Program Planning, and Human Services Management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the College of Charleston. She also earned a Corporate Social Responsibility Certificate from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.
With decades of experience in strategic philanthropy, collaboration, policy advocacy, and leadership, Kim is passionate about advancing social good and serving communities in need.
