Round Three

Kamala Sivalingam

Aligning Community for Resilience Initiative

Supporting: Clayton

Kamala is an evaluator, certified facilitator and the Director of Evaluation and Research for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential (GCAPP). At GCAPP, Kamala oversees the design and implementation of evaluation projects to determine the impact of GCAPP activities on the health and well-being of over 60,000 youth in Georgia. Prior to GCAPP, she lived abroad for nearly a decade and conducted social justice and evaluation projects out of Latin America, Asia, and Africa for the United Nations, MasterCard Foundation, and Save the Children amongst other organizations. Through these experiences Kamala has learned to work across varying identities and values systems, lean into uncertainty, and elevate the voices of youth from different racial and ethnic groups.  She channels culturally responsive and participatory evaluation approaches in measuring the effectiveness of the ACSRI-Truth of our Trauma program in Clayton County
