Deborah Chosewood is the Mental Health Grants Specialist and Georgia Project AWARE State Education Agency Coordinator at Georgia’s Department of Education. Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) is a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) federally-funded grant implemented in three school districts in Georgia.

Chosewood has worked in the early childhood and child and family wellbeing field for over 25 years. She is a member of numerous statewide task forces and committees aimed at the promotion of child and family wellbeing. She also serves on the National Children’s Trust Fund Alliance Board of Directors.
