About The Event

The Becoming a More Resilient Parent Seminar looks at resiliency in the context of parenting. Parents' actions and the behaviors they model for their children can have a large impact on children and the community in which they live. In this seminar, we will look at ways we can model resiliency for children through our responses to stress, the impacts stress can have, and ways we can promote positive childhood experiences and create resilience through connection. This seminar will be conducted by a speaker from Resilient Middle Georgia whose mission is to "build a common language and understanding about adversity, trauma, and ACEs while also identifying and empowering community champions to join the trauma informed care movement." The event is hosted by the Assessment and Care Team. Lunch will be provided. Must register to attend the event.
